I’m very pleased with the service I received from my real estate agent Janell Kolenc.  She sold the home I lived in for over 30 years, a vacant lot and the purchase of a new build.  She helped navigate from beginning to end on all three transactions.  Selling and building a home can be quite stressful.  She was always there to calm my nerves and to assure me that everything would work out.

With the new home build, she worked with the builder to ensure everything stayed on schedule, and that the move in date and escrow would go smoothly.

We first met Janell via FaceTime while looking for a home to rent in Salem. She was offering her own home up for rent and unbeknownst to us, she was also a Realtor. She spent the better part of an hour touring the house with us and answering questions about the home and the area since we were unfamiliar with Salem at the time. We ended the conversation with her mentioning she was a Realtor and saying that even if her house wasn't right for us, she might know of others available. As fate would have it, our move was delayed by several months due to my husband's work and her house had since rented.

 

Janell's kindness was so resounding that when the time finally did come for us to move, she was the first person we thought of to call. This time however, we had decided to buy instead of rent and my parents were also coming to purchase their own home. So, we quickly made arrangements to come to Salem for the weekend. She took the time to listen to our very specific needs and organize the weekend, we toured 28 homes in 2 days. Not only did we find a home for ourselves but she managed to find a home for my parents too!

 

Since our first purchase 9 years ago, Janell has assisted my family with 5 buy/sell transactions; we have also referred several dear friends to Janell and all have had the same wonderful experience. In addition, Peter and one of his sons went above and beyond to help with one of our home moves, something that we will never forget.

 

Janell is very professional and informed in preparing a home for sale. She understands what it takes for a home to present well. She has a quick eye and expertise in assessing areas of potential problems, then she follows through with realistic recommendations on how to address them. She also points out a home’s strengths and how to build on them. During the sales preparation process, she has also followed through to give last-minute final touches to our home. These things made all the difference.

 

They understand the value and priorities of family. Even through the difficult circumstances of the last few years, they have kept a healthy life perspective. We highly recommend this realtor team.
